Description:

The mission of the Lawrenceville Farmers Market is to provide access to fresh, locally-produced foods for all Lawrenceville residents and visitors in an inclusive, vibrant, and safe community space. The Market aims to lower barriers to fresh, healthy food especially for low-income families, older adults, and individuals with food insecurity or low food access and to support the development of a strong and sustainable local food system with farmers and small business owners through incentive programs, community education, and outreach in the neighborhoods we serve.

The Market is open every Tuesday from June through October from 4-7 p.m. in Arsenal Park, near the 40th Street entrance. In 2019, the Lawrenceville Farmers Market boasted over 30 vendors offering a variety of produce, meats, baked goods, prepared foods, dairy, local spirits and beers, and more. We are continuing to grow! The Farmers Market is located directly next to the playground -- convenient for parents who want to shop with their kiddos. Through Just Harvest's Fresh Access program, we accept credit, debit, SNAP/EBT, in addition to cash. Some vendors also accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers.

The Lawrenceville Farmers Market is a program of Lawrenceville United (LU). Lawrenceville United is an inclusive, resident-driven non-profit organization that works to improve and protect the quality of life for all Lawrenceville residents.

Getting there:

  • Public transit: Arsenal Park is conveniently within walking distance from stops along the following bus routes: 54, 64, 88, and 91.

  • Parking: 1-hour parking is available on 39th and 40th Streets -- 39th is usually your best bet. Unlimited free parking is available on Penn Avenue between 40th and 39th Streets.
