County: Westmoreland
Description:

Western PA's largest and oldest producer only market. Over 130 vendors set up weekly from 8-noon every Saturday, rain or shine, from Mid May through the first Saturday in October. Vendors are equally distributed between fresh produce, fruit, poultry, meats, bedding plants and perennials. Many of our farmers sell heirloom varieties of tomatoes and other vegetables. Many employ organic methods of farming and promote sustainable agriculture. There are also fresh baked goods, hot prepared foods and beverages available. Local artisans bring jewelry, quilts, pottery, wood crafts, hand blown glass and more. Penn State Master Gardeners have created a beautiful garden at the entrance to the Market with the help of local volunteer youths. In 2012 we added our Kid's Garden to promote eating locally and educate children about where their food comes from. Check our website for weekly special feature guests at the Market.

The Market also has an annual Christmas Market the Saturday after Thanksgiving located inside the Ligonier Valley YMCA.
