Description:

The SpringHouse is a family dairy farm and old-fashioned country store and restaurant in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, just five miles east of Washington, PA on Route 136.  Family-recipe eats, old-tyme treats, and farm fresh milk and goodies can be enjoyed year round.  We love cooking family recipe meals that take folks back in time to days gone by.  Every potato is peeled by hand, every chicken is cooked and picked by hand, and every top round is sliced down to create wonderful good eating.  From our bakery, all the apples for apple pies and apple dumplings are peeled by hand, the pie dough is Grandma Robison's secret recipe, and all the cream pie filling includes our own farm fresh milk and is cooked in house!  Cakes and cookies are made from scratch, incorporating our own Buttermilk, Whole Milk, and Chocolate Milk where recipe calls for it.  Our own smoked-on-the-farm Hickory Smoked Hams are a specialty year round too.  And we love featuring farm-fresh veggies on our menu, especially in the summer when the veggies are from local vegetable farms!

Seasonal specialty events abound throughout the year too...Palm Sunday Feast, Spring Ham and Turkey Dinner, Mothers Day Chicken Bar B Q, Father's Day Steak Fry and Chicken Bar B Q, Grandparents Day Ham and Turkey Dinner, October Sunday Hog Roasts and more!

Check out our website for information on all the memory making events going on year round at The SpringHouse too... Teddy Bear Tea Party, Easter Egg Hunt in the Cow Pasture, Spring Dairy Farm Tours (April, May, June), Farm Heritage Day, Car Cruise on the Farm, Fall Great Pumpkin Weekends with tractor rides to the pumpkin patch and  all kinds of old-fashioned fun in the fields, and Breakfast with Santa too!

Catering from our farm kitchen has gotten very popular over the years, with our red SpringHouse vans traveling to country destinations throughout the area to serve all kinds of farm-fresh food.  Check out our catering on our website for more details.
