5th Annual Pittsburgh Urban Farm Tour- Virtually

The East End Food Co-op, Pittsburgh Food Policy Council, Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, and Grow Pittsburgh are collaborating to host the 5th Annual Pittsburgh Urban Farm Tour—virtually!
This year’s Farm Tour will consist of several different events throughout PA Urban Ag Week, July 19 – July 24, including workshops crafted specifically for growers, as well as public tours open to all urban ag supporters! Be sure to check back in, as new events may be added! Please register for each event separately — tickets are “Pay What You Can” and proceeds will benefit the Urban Growers Scholarship Fund. We ask all participants to comply with the masking guidelines of each site and that unvaccinated folk wear masks to ensure their safety.

Webinar: Do Healthy Soils Grow Healthier Food? With Pasa Sustainable Agriculture | 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM It seems logical that healthier soil could grow healthier food. But how do we measure this and demonstrate it scientifically? Exploring links between the nutrient density of food and the soil it was grown in remains a young field of study — we often have more questions than answers. The Bionutrient Institute is a collaborative project that seeks to shed light on this topic. Join us to learn more about this national project and what it’s uncovered so far. Register here
