Join us on Wednesday, August 23, to celebrate the many ways that growing and sharing fresh local food is helping neighborhoods across Allegheny County.

The Garden Get Down brings together community members and gardeners for a fun-filled night of fresh local food, dancing, specialty drinks, and garden-related activities. This all-ages party is a great way to connect with local gardeners and farmers, learn about Grow Pittsburgh’s work to increase fresh food access, or just enjoy a great meal and break it down on the dancefloor with some friends!

This year we’ll be serving up tastes of the harvest from Secretos de mis Abuelos and Veggies N’at, hosting a free seed swap featuring heirloom organic seeds, and dancing to funky jams from DJ Sister Sludge.
