VENDORS WANTED FOR GREENROOTS SUSTAINABILITY FAIR!

Environmental Charter School (ECS) will be presenting two installments of their Greenroots Sustainability Fair, showcasing the work of students and staff to understand and implement sustainable practices in both small ways as part of daily life and in larger efforts. One element of the fair will be a small market, and they’re currently accepting applications from vendors.

The first fair will be on Friday, May 9th at 829 Milton Street; the second takes place on Friday, May 16th at 5525 Colombo Street, with both running from 5-7 pm.  Vendors can choose to participate on either or both dates, and any locally made or produced items are welcome, including honey, salsas, hummus, kombucha, pickles, baked goods, prepared foods, and more.

These events are open to not only staff, students, and families, but members of the community as well.  This fair began as an Earth Nite event over a decade ago, and features multiple presentations, activities, and demonstrations, including student projects, DJs, and community partners like Venture Outdoors and Assemble Pittsburgh . It’s a great opportunity for vendors to connect with new patrons, with each installment drawing around 300 attendees and with the school itself committed to innovative approaches to sustainable living, including supporting local businesses whenever possible.
