Black Urban Gardeners and Farmers of Pittsburgh works towards food justice for Black people through urban gardening, community enrichment, and education. On Saturday, May 18, they host a planting day at Homewood Historical Farm in preparation for growing season.
Work begins at 10 am and goes to 1 pm, and all are welcome to arrive at a time convenient for them and take part to the extent that they are able. A meal will be provided at the end of the work day,
No registration is needed- just put on clothing and shoes appropriate for planting work, grab some gloves, and show up! The farm is located at 7013 Monticello Street, Pittsburgh, 15208.
