One of our favorite events, the Pittsburgh Urban Farm Tour, celebrates its 8th year in 2024! We can’t wait to join them, and hope that you will too.
Held on Saturday, September 14th from 10 am to 2 pm, this self-guided perambulation demonstrates that farming is everything, and everywhere. From one city neighborhood to the next, participants will have the chance to witness how cultivation grows not only food, but communities.
Presented by the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council, Grow Pittsburgh, Chatham University Food Studies, and PASA Sustainable Agriculture, the tour includes:
Food for the Soul Community Farm
Jr. Green Corp Garden at Operation Better Block
Lawrenceville Organic Community Garden
Penn State Extension- Edible Teaching Garden
West Penn Hospital Healthy Food Center Garden
Proceeds benefit participating farms, and additionally support the Scholarship Fund.
We’ll be sharing more info soon, but don’t wait- get your tickets now!
