The Farm to Table Expo includes vendors who sample and sell local farm products and locally produced beverages & foods. The Buy Fresh Buy Local stage features cooking demos, specialty crop hands on tastings & demos, CSA memberships (Consumer Supported Agriculture), Farmers Markets, how to preserve foods with fermentation, canning and other techniques.
This expo is not only a place to showcase your offerings but also a hub for promoting awareness and education about where food comes from and the availability of healthy food and lifestyle choices
We are looking for presentations that include healthy, local, fresh, real food and resources to obtain, deliver, preserve and cook real food. Speakers should demonstrate the connection between health and nutrition as well as offer consumers “the why and the how” to buy local farm products and locally produced foods.
Attendees include the Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show fan base as well as our Farm to Table audience that seeks out tips and tricks to buy local all year round. Historically, the Home & Garden Show attracts over 300,000 attendees.
The Buy Fresh Buy Local stage attracts 100+ people on weekends and 40+ on weeknights. The expo offers ten days of networking and educational opportunities, including the chance for teachers & educators to earn Act 48 credits.
