Community Kitchen Pittsburgh’s monthly Guest Chef Dinner series gives their students a chance to shine by working with leaders of some of Pittsburgh’s finest restaurants. This series starts 2025 strong on Tuesday, January 28th, welcoming Mike Godlewski of EYV Restaurant.
Community Kitchen Pittsburgh offers training programs, transitional employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and job placement to community members, who in exchange only need to bring a desire to learn, commit, and succeed. Over the course of a little more than a decade, almost 500 graduates have completed the program and moved forward with new skills to provide them with a foundation for new lives.
Located in Deutschtown, EYV centers vegetable-based dishes that capitalize on the wealth of produce available from local growers. Chef and Owner Godlewski opened EYV in 2023, bringing years of education and experience from across Pennsylvania, Virginia, and DC to the North Side. The restaurant has been consistently wowing guests since, including both the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and Pittsburgh Magazine, who awarded them “Best New Restaurant” honors, and EATER DC, who named them one of Pittsburgh’s essential restaurants.
Chef Godlewski and Community Kitchen Pittsburgh students will craft a fully vegetarian menu based on market availability and quality of ingredients, and not only will they shine, they’ll share- the Guest Chef Dinners are open to the public. Secure your seating for this one-time event here, and do so quickly- seating is limited!
