Controlled Environment Agriculture workshop

Is it an opportunity for me?

Saturday, March 23 9 am – 12 pm

Thinking about investing in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) or expanding your current efforts?

Chatham University will offer a workshop on CEA March 23 – 9 am-12 pm with a networking lunch afterward at the Eden Hall campus. The workshop is free to participants, costs are covered as part of a USDA grant.

Participants will get an overview of CEA and learn about topics ranging from investment considerations to pest management. Tony Miga, Director of Chatham’s Eden Hall farm will share Chatham’s experience of working with CEA. For example, Chatham is completing a year-long trial of growing cucumbers using hydroponics in various types of high tunnels. Learn how you might be able to expand using CEA.

If you are interested in attending, please email tmacagno@chatham.edu to reserve a place. Note spaces are limited to 20 participants.
