Tree Pittsburgh is offering a free workshop on the canopy decline in Allegheny County and what that means for its residents, and participants take home the best swag of all- a tree. 

This workshop explores how we’re impacted by the loss of trees and what we can do to counteract that, providing resources on community plantings and maintenance, exploring strategies to expand the urban forest, and education on protecting and managing arboreal life in our communities. 

Workshop registrants will receive a link to register for trees online in their confirmation email, with tree pick-up from 3-5 pm. The workshop itself runs from 2-3:30 pm, concluding with a walking tour of the Riverfront campus and tree nursery from 3:30-4 pm.
