Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Fallingwater” is not only the architect’s masterpiece, but considered by many to be one of the greatest creations in American architecture. It’s a breathtaking demonstration of Wright’s philosophy of design that embraces and intertwines with nature, so integrated into a waterfall that it seems to be a natural part of it. Built as a weekend retreat for Edgar and Lilian Kaufmann of department store fame, this National Historic Landmark was donated to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy in 1963.
