“The Farm to Table Harvest Tasting caps off the Harvest Festival season held at local farms. We want to give farms and consumers one more chance to connect during the Fall months. We challenge consumers to Buy Local throughout the year. According to a 2015 study from the Southwest PA Regional Planning Commission, ‘If economic activity in the Western PA food supply chain increased by 10%, we could create 33,000 new jobs & add $4 billion in business activity.’” says Erin Hart, founder, Farm to Table Buy Local.

Farm to Table Buy Local is a Western PA based non-profit, 501c3, founded in May, 2018. The organization is the “Buy Fresh Buy Local” chapter of Western PA and promotes “buying local” to consumers and food/beverage producers. Additionally, we are starting Cooking Clubs for residents in affordable housing.

Farm to Table Western PA is part of the wellness program offered by American HealthCare Group, a Pittsburgh-based health and wellness company. The Farm to Table wellness program includes Lunch & Learns, cooking demonstrations, local tastings, on-site farmers markets, fruit bowls and student assemblies offered to school districts, corporations, senior groups and affordable housing communities.
