Description:

Laurel Vista Farms is a family farm owned by two sisters and their husbands.  Ken and Marian Soldano and Rita Resick and Rick Stafford started farming in 1988, growing potatoes for the local potato chip factory, Snyder of Berlin.  Since then, they have added consumer vegetables and are now one of the region's biggest growers of green beans and summer vegetables (including peppers, cukes, and zukes), sweet onions, and potatoes, supplying local grocery stores, wholesalers, and farmers markets.  They have also developed a line of jar products that they call Local Produce in a Jar.  These items are made from vegetables grown on their farm or on farms nearby.
