Western PA's Local Food Guide
Old Tin Roof Farm
Old Tin Roof Farm, LLC
Our property is located in Upper Burrell Township, Westmoreland County and has been within the family since 1932. With 60 acres of mostly woodland, we have carved out a few acres for the homestead. After spending 25+ years in the corporate world we have rekindled our love for growing fresh wholesome vegetables, flowers, berries, and herbs, specializing in various varieties of garlic.
We follow naturally grown, sustainable practices in the growing of our crops. Heirloom varieties are selected when possible to assure our friends, family, and community the old time flavors from years past. Each year is different, some crops are successful, and some not so much as we rely on “Mother Nature” to help us to grow our field-grown crops.
We DO NOT USE “GMO” seeds or plants and have been practicing organic growing methods for many years before it became a trendy buzz word. While it is our choice to remain small, our hope is to make you, our customer happy by growing the highest quality products using sustainable earth-friendly practices.
